A superb conclusion to this lovely series compiled of short stories ahead of the full book being released. I have loved reading these stories and have been eagerly awaiting the release of the each instalment.

The stories feature a lovely selection of characters that capture your hearts and as the stories continue to unfold you get to see more of the personalities of those who Cat & Kyra hold most dear.

I have loved reading about Cat and the misadventures of her heart as she gets used to life back in Merriment Bay. Fingers crossed that Emily writes another book so we get to see what comes next for these brilliant characters.

#Review Today I am sharing my review for the next instalment of the series – Coming Home to Merriment Bay – Part Three: Christmas by Emily Harvale

Coming home to Merriment Bay Part 3

Today I am excited to be joining the blog tour for Part Three of this lovely series which I am loving and can’t wait to read the Part Four!

Screenshot 2019-11-20 at 11.17.35

I am loving this series by Emily Harvale and was eager to read this after reading part two. The characters are really jumping off of the pages now and I am keen to know what is going to happen in the tangle of emotions that Cat seems to have found herself in.

This is a lovely story about unconditional love and forgiveness whilst old emotional scars begin to heal and new relationships start to develop. I have found myself picking these books up as soon as they land on my kindle and devouring them within an afternoon. After reading this one I felt bereft as each story ends leaving you with a sense of anticipation and I am now desperate to read the final instalment of this series.

A great series, set in a lovely location with such lovely characters that you will feel the need to keep reading more.

Part Three of this heartwarming four-part serial about finding the strength to put the past behind you and to reach out for a future filled with happiness and love.

Cat and Kyra have finally traced the man in the photo they found in Viola’s trunk – thanks to Amias. But Bailey Mitchell lives thousands of miles away and is almost ninety-eight, so meeting him in person is never going to happen. Which is just as well. Exchanging Christmas cards and chatting on social media leads to revelations Cat had not expected.

At least Christmas is looking promising. It may be freezing outside but things have definitely thawed between Cat and her mum, Mary. They’re actually getting on, especially now that Mary is dating Jeremy Stone, the builder working on Viola’s house.

Cat’s also hopeful that Viola’s situation may improve. And when a surprise visitor brings more than just well wishes, Cat’s Christmas takes a delightful turn.

With the festivities in full swing, and snow falling on Merriment Bay, the future’s looking bright. Christmas is a time for miracles and Cat believes she may get one of her own this year if she’s prepared to put the past behind her and open her heart to Love once more.

#Review Today I am taking part in the blog tour for Coming Home to Merriment Bay – Part Two: Sparks Fly by Emily Harvale

Coming home to Merriment Bay Part 2

Screenshot 2019-11-12 at 10.45.51

Today I am sharing my review for Part Two of the Merriment Bay series. I am really enjoying this series and this book picks up straight from where part one ended.

In this visit to Merriment Bay you get to know more about Mary and her links to the Wells family and why she is so keen for Cat to stay away from Amias. The first two parts of the story books are full of family drama and are flowing together effortlessly.  This has left me wanting to know what comes next for the Devon girls and what else has happened in the past that is going to come to light as the story continues to unravel.

I love the style of writing from Emily Harvale as I know when I pick up her books I will enjoy the story and that they will be light hearted escapism at its best.

Part Two of this heartwarming four-part serial about finding the strength to put the past behind you and to reach out for a future filled with happiness and love.

Cat Devon knew she couldn’t avoid Amias Wells for long. She also knew sparks would fly the moment they came face to face. They never did get on and nothing has changed in eighteen years – except that Amias is even more annoying. So why does Cat still catch her breath whenever he looks her way?

The fact he flies a vintage Spitfire for the Merriment Bay WWII Museum doesn’t interest Cat, but his knowledge of the former RAF pilots stationed there certainly does. She wants to find out all she can about the man in the photo in Viola’s trunk. And what with hospital visits, dealing with her mum, and sorting out problems with Viola’s house, Cat could use more than just Kyra’s help.

But Kyra makes it clear she thinks Cat and Amias should spend more time together. Which is ridiculous. Apart from the fact they don’t get on, Amias wasn’t interested in Cat before the accident that left the ugly scars on her face and body, so he definitely won’t be attracted to her now. Besides, Cat’s not looking for romance. She’s happy with her life just the way it is.

Today I am excited to be joining the blog tour for Coming Home to Merriment Bay – Part One: A Reunion by Emily Harvale

Coming home to Merriment Bay Part 1

20191103_1507287993213003719827115.jpg

I have loved reading Emily Harvale’s previous books and am really excited to join the blog tour for Coming Home to Merriment Bay, this is part one of a four part short story where we get to meet Cat & Kyra.

Cat is returning home to see her Grandma after running away with her young baby 18 years ago. Returning home Cat is confronting anger and emotions that she thought she had buried and a strange pull to Merriment Bay where she grew up and the life changing accident occurred.

I really enjoyed getting to know Cat & Kyra and see how they settled into life in Cat’s old village. I am taking part in the blog tour for all 4 parts of this book and can’t wait to keep reading to see what comes next for them both.

After eighteen years apart, reclusive Cat Devon still recognises her mum’s handwriting. Plucking up the courage to open the letter, its contents send Cat racing to Merriment Bay, the seaside village where she grew up.

On arrival, Cat and her teenage daughter, Kyra are shocked to find the situation is worse than expected. But despite everything, Cat considers herself to be an optimist at heart and Kyra takes after her. Looking on the bright side may not improve the situation, but it definitely can’t make it worse.

When clearing out the house that, even now, Cat fondly thinks of as home, she stumbles upon more than just memories in the battered leather trunk in Granny Viola’s bedroom. She discovers a faded photo of an RAF pilot, a pile of unopened letters, and a mystery waiting to be solved. Who is the man in the – clearly treasured – photo? Cat didn’t know her grandad. Could this be him? A man even her mum never met.

Cat and Kyra are intent on finding out. But that’s not all Cat’s determined to do. It’s time she came to terms with the issues in her past, and made peace with her mum and her gran. All the while avoiding bumping into the one man she never quite got over … and keeping a few secrets of her own.
