Festive Reads Day 5 How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr Seuss

Daisy loves to read and was keen to get involved with helping me share some of our favourite festive reads. She has been reading the story of the Grinch since she was little when we would read it to her and loved pulling it off the bookshelf this year to write her review.

Daisy’s Review

I love the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, it is a fun read full of pictures, jolliness and jealousy.

My favourite character is Max as I love animals and he is so cute and a friend to Grinch even though he is miserable and hates everything about Christmas.

I have read the book and watched the film many times and I would recommend it to children of all ages as it is a brilliant book that made me feel really Christmassy with fab illustrations to make it fun for everyone.

Book Blurb

“The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season!
Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason…”

With a heart two sizes too small, the Grinch is the meanest creature you’ll ever meet. He hates Christmas and the whole festive season. But when he hatches a dastardly plot to steal Christmas, he’s in for a big surprise!

Don’t You Cry by Cass Green

I love it when a friend loves a book so much that they text you at 1am to tell you that you must read it… well this is one of those books so I am going to share their review of Don’t You Cry by Cass Green.

Wow what a story!  I loved this book!

The minute I delved into this book I felt that I quickly knew the characters and their story. This book had ups and downs throughout for the characters and I went on their journey with them. I was routing for one character and then another, it was great and kept me turning the pages.

Overall a fantastic book, I loved the ending and it was written so well, a true 5 star for me and I totally recommend this exceptional book.
