Today I am super excited to share my review for Chasing Dreams at Hedgehog Hollow by Jessica Redland

My Review

I am an absolute sucker for a series of books and Jessica Redland won me over with her very first book in this series and I am always super excited to get my hands on the next one.

A wonderful story where we visit Sammie & Josh again in the lead up to their wedding and join them in the early few months of their marriage. A story full of love and sorrow, I found this a really emotional read in places and found it had such relevance in the story line and loved the way it unfolded.

I always love visiting the hedgehogs and the wonderful helpers that are sprinkled throughout the story and once again I was so sad to reach the end as it had totally held my attention and had me reaching for my book so I could keep reading.

I can’t wait to visit Hedgehog Hollow again but am sad that it will be our last visit to this wonderful host of characters.

Book Blurb

Samantha has a secret. Returning home from her dream honeymoon to the normality of running her beloved Hedgehog Hollow rescue centre, she’s ready for the next chapter of her life with Josh. Or is she? Samantha is hiding something which could forever change the dreams they shared and bring their happy ever after crashing to the ground.

Lauren has given up on love. Twenty-six years ago the love of her life, Shaun, left her a note and was never seen again. Two painful divorces later she still can’t face opening up to anyone. But little does Lauren know that the closure she’s dreamt of for all these years may be closer than she thinks, and perhaps the only way to let new love in is to forgive and forget.

Samantha and Lauren will need the love and support from the Hedgehog Hollow family more than ever. After all, some dreams are worth chasing…

Today I am so excited to share my review for Note to Self by Anna Bell

My Review

I have loved Anna Bells’s booked since the first one that I picked up and this is one of the best books I’ve read this year! I was lucky enough to be sent an advance reader copy of this book and the cover is bright, sunny and cheerful and I was instantly drawn to it.

What can I say, the first chapter grabbed me and once it had I just flew through the chapters as I wanted to just keep reading and I kept finding time in my day to sneak in a few more pages.

Whilst reading this book it made me think about my life and what I was feeling and question whether I was living my best life. It made me question my current roles and whether I would enjoy volunteering for children.

A great storyline, I guessed the plot twist but what makes this book better than others is that it encourages you to know the twist and you still want to eagerly keep reading. I loved the characters and their back stories and how they took me with them on their journey.

A highly recommended read, you won’t regret it.

Book Blurb

It’s never too late to follow your heart.

One summer’s day seventeen years ago Edie and Joel meet.

Edie’s moved on from the heartbreak of years ago. So the last thing she expects to receive on her thirty-fifth birthday is an email… from her eighteen-year-old self. As more emails arrive, she starts to remember what – or rather who – she left behind.

Following her own advice, Edie heads back to the place where it all began, and finds her path unexpectedly crossing with Joel’s once more. Could this finally be their chance at love? Or are some things better left in the past?

Happy Publication Day to the wonderful Sandy Barker who today releases – A Wedding in Tuscany

My Review

A wonderful story about the wonderful sisters Catherine & Sarah as they prepare to head to Tuscany for a wedding. I have loved following the adventures of these sisters in previous books and was super excited to see that another story had been released featuring a selection of our favourite characters from previous books.

A story that will make you chuckle throughout as we get reacquainted with the sisters and their lovely partners, the story starts with them in London & Australia as they arrange to meet in Tuscany for the wedding. In this story we have the added bonus of spending time with Mum and Dad too on this trip.

What beats a bit of family drama, sprinkled with wedding disasters and lots of laughter, I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end and I’ve looked forward to having time to sit down and read it.

Keep the wonderful stories coming as I loved my trip to Tuscany, which is always a gorgeous destination that really sets the scene.

Book Blurb

The Parsons sisters are all loved up.

Sarah is living in Sydney with Josh and their cat, Domino, but is anxious about her fast-approaching fortieth birthday.

And Cat is still living in London with her flatmate, Jane, but is in a long-distance relationship with Jean-Luc, her childhood sweetheart and recently re-discovered love.

One of the sisters receives a surprise wedding proposal – it’s a yes! – and everyone heads off to Tuscany for a destination wedding.

Reunite with favourite characters from the Holiday Romance series in one of the most beautiful locations yet for love, laughter, wedding vows, and just a smidge of sisterly mayhem.

Today I am delighted to be joining the blog tour for The Gin Sisters’ Promise by Faith Hogan

My Review

Another wonderful story by Faith Hogan, full of family drama where from the first few pages you get a feel for the relationship the sisters once held and what had happened in the intervening years.

Whilst on the front of it the sisters seem to have all picked a lane for their lives where they have carved out a path, the reality is very different and they are all lonely in their own right yet too stubborn to speak up and make contact with eachother.

When their father dies, all of the old drama resurfaces as the sisters return to Ireland for his funeral and for the will to be read, where they discover the latest wish from their father.

This was a story full of intense family relationships with each sister bringing their own point of view to the table as they are trying hard to keep secrets hidden from eachother. I loved how each sister was described, so you could get to know them and see how they influenced the story and how they all came to be in the position they found themselves in.

Another wonderful read, from an author who I am always keen to pick up a book by.

Book Blurb

Three estranged sisters. Six months to come back together.

When Georgie, Iris and Nola’s mother died and their father disappeared into his grief, the sisters made a pact: they would always be there for one another, no matter what. Now, decades later, they haven’t spoken for years and can barely stand to be in the same room. As his health declines, their father comes up with a plan to bring them back to one another. In his will, he states that before they can claim their inheritance, they must spend six months living together in their childhood home in the village of Ballycove, Ireland, and try to repair their broken relationships. As the months progress, old resentments boil over, new secrets threaten to come out and each sister must decide what matters more: their pride, or their family. Can they overcome their past and find a way to love each other once more?
