What better way to kick off the week than with a 5* review for A Christmas Wedding in the Cotswolds by Lucy Coleman

My Review

I absolutely loved this festive read where we get to revisit the lovely Immi & Tollie and enjoy another festive countdown as they prepare for the 10 year anniversary of the Santa Ahoy cruises to raise money for the new playground installation.

A perfect story not only started to make me feel festive and count the weekends until Christmas, but it also made me laugh throughout. Full of family love, loyalty and wonderful friendships this story is a bursting with real life emotions that will make you smile as well as tear up in places. I loved getting to spend more time with the kind hearted Immi as she prepares to marry Gray and continues to overcome the obstacles she keeps uncovering whilst converting Lock Keepers Cottage.

I really enjoy books by this author and I loved being introduced to Lock Keeper Cottage last year, I was so pleased that this was a perfect continuation. A story that can be read as a continuation from last year or as a standalone thanks to the refresher the author kindly provided in the prologue. I really hope we get to revisit next Christmas to see how the first year of married life is treating Immi & Gray.

Book Blurb

What could be more festive than a winter wedding in the picturesque English countryside? Join us for Christmas in the Cotswolds with the bestselling Lucy Coleman.

Imogen Tolliman and Gray Adams can’t wait to get married after getting engaged the previous year, when they were stranded by snow in a blizzard. Now they are busy planning their wedding, but when the date slips six months because Gray is working on a huge film project, it seems like fate that after their snowy start, they will end up getting married at Christmas.

The couple are living in Immi’s grandfather’s picturesque lock-keeper’s cottage at the Aysbury marina in the Cotswolds, which they are renovating to become their forever family home. As well as building work, full-time jobs and wedding planning, Immi is in charge of raising money to build a children’s playground, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Santa Ahoy Cruises – her grandfather Tollie’s life work.

When Gray is suddenly forced to travel abroad, Immi is left to cope with everything alone, and before long, even the best-laid plans start to wobble. When a terrible betrayal is uncovered, the whole community of Aysbury is left reeling, and Immi is left wondering if there will be a wedding after all…

Let Lucy Coleman transport you away to an unforgettable Cotswolds Christmas full of romance and laughter, friendship and family and much-loved festive traditions. Perfect for all fans of Trisha Ashley, Holly Martin and Sue Moorcroft.

I am a total bookworm who loves nothing more than to lose herself in a book. My pile of books to read is teetering higher and higher as there are not enough hours in the day compared to how many old and new amazing books there are out there to read. I love to read in my spare time and books are a massive part of our household. I feel really lucky that Daisy also loves losing herself in the amazing worlds the authors are creating for us and neither of us ever go very far without having a book to hand as you never know when an opportunity to read may present itself.
