Love kicking off a sunny day with a 5* review – The Greek Heart by Kate Frost

Let’s kick off this sunny Wednesday morning with a light hearted 5* read that transports you to the sunny Greek Islands.

My Review

My first read by Kate Frost and wow what a book to kick off with, I totally lost myself in this book and barely looked up as I just wanted to keep reading. I loved meeting Lottie and joining her on an adventure to the Greek Islands.

Lottie is an ambitious and successful business woman who after a failed marriage feels the need to take time and rediscover herself. This leads her to looking for someone she knew as a child and to the stunning coast of Santorini. This was one of those stories that puts massive ticks in every box, it was the perfect balance between light hearted and emotional, the location was stunning, the scene was set perfectly and as the reader all you need to do is sit back and lap it up.

I love to travel and I love travelling through books and this is a wonderful read that transports you so you can feel the sun on your skin and admire the wonderful views as Lottie sits and soaks them up. A story full of love and heartache, that transported me and left me smiling and filled my happy bucket to the brim. A highly recommended read for some well needed escapism.

Book Blurb

A broken heart, an island escape, a boy from the past. Will Lottie’s search lead to love?

When a special anniversary takes Lottie on a journey to find the little boy she once knew, it’s a chance to put heartache behind her.

Lottie’s search takes her to Greece and a family who have known about her for decades. A warm welcome gives her some much-needed time out and the chance to reflect. Yet an emotional revelation and two handsome but complicated brothers make her question her past decisions.

Learning to love herself and be content on her own is the first step. But will Lottie be able to follow her heart and find lasting happiness?

I am a total bookworm who loves nothing more than to lose herself in a book. My pile of books to read is teetering higher and higher as there are not enough hours in the day compared to how many old and new amazing books there are out there to read. I love to read in my spare time and books are a massive part of our household. I feel really lucky that Daisy also loves losing herself in the amazing worlds the authors are creating for us and neither of us ever go very far without having a book to hand as you never know when an opportunity to read may present itself.
