Today I am joining the blog tour for One Day in Summer by Shari Low. I absolutely loved this book and am excited to recommend you add it to your TBR pile.

My Review

When you first meet the free spirited red head known as Aggs you wonder what adventures you are going to go on throughout this story. She is the quieter of the friends who has fallen in love whilst visiting sunny LA on her latest trip with Celeste.

The story then fast forward a couple of decades and you meet Aggs and her twin daughter’s and get to know her current story.

Set over a dual time line two decades apart the events of the trip to LA unfold whilst you meet the people who totally unravelled her life and the devastating losses she has suffered over the years inbetween.

A wonderful story that tugs your heart strings throughout as you wonder how Aggs can be so nice despite the events that have unfolded. This story unpicks the events and provides a real sense of how deep her friendship with Celeste ran before the devastating betrayal.

I loved this book, it took me on an adventure as Aggs looks for the person she once was as she nears her 45th birthday. Overflowing with wonderful characters and secrets that are finding their way to the surface. A superb heartwarming story that will make you want to laugh, cry and it’ll lift your soul as you delve deeper into the book.

I am a total bookworm who loves nothing more than to lose herself in a book. My pile of books to read is teetering higher and higher as there are not enough hours in the day compared to how many old and new amazing books there are out there to read. I love to read in my spare time and books are a massive part of our household. I feel really lucky that Daisy also loves losing herself in the amazing worlds the authors are creating for us and neither of us ever go very far without having a book to hand as you never know when an opportunity to read may present itself.
