I love gathering up a pile of paperbacks ready for a holiday as it is the one time of year I don’t tend to use my kindle as I love to read physical books. This year I opted to take a couple of books that had been in my pile a while and a couple of more recent/upcoming releases.
This year our summer holiday was in France just outside Ligueil at the brilliant Camping De La Touche where we all had an amazing time. Whilst Daisy was making the most of the swimming pool, I found a comfy chair and made the most of some relaxed reading time in the sunshine. This year my holiday reading pile consisted of the following:

My 5* Review
I decided to take Bonnie and Stan on holiday as it had come highly recommended and wow what a book. This is a story that will make you laugh and cry, it is beautifully written from the first to the last page and I loved it.
Stan absolutely adores Bonnie and this story is written on a dual timeline between when they met over 50 years ago to present day. As the book progresses the timelines begin to merge together as past and present come colliding together and Bonnie & Stan revisit old memories and make new ones.
An exceptional love story that will leave a mark on your heart!

I chose to add this to my holiday reading pile after seeing some fantastic reviews and I can see why this book has captured people.
Rachel has her dream wedding ripped from under her feet and stays with her mother Eleanor whilst trying to get back on her feet.
This book will break your heart as the lovely Rachel keeps fighting to overcome obstacles that life is throwing in her path. It is a story about determination to uncover her mother’s past to help her heal and feel whole again.
A brilliant book that will have you reading late into the night as the past and present come together to give Rachel the answers she has been looking for.

I absolutely loved the Photos of You, just when you don’t think your heart can break anymore Tammy goes and breaks your heart again with this stunning read.
I find Tammy’s books to be beautifully written and emotionally charged so you know at some point she will reduce you to tears streaming down your face and this book broke my heart.
A stunning story of love and loss and how even on the darkest days you never know what is round the corner.
