Today I am excited to be taking part in the blog tour for It’s My Birthday, many thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the offer to take part.
I absolutely loved this book from the first couple of chapters. The storyline covers off major life events relating to IVF and infertility in a sensitive manner whilst highlighting you don’t always know what people are dealing with and that happiness can be found when it is least expected.
Throughout this brilliant story I loved the dynamics between Elliot and Karen and how this is all built upon their random chance meeting. The characters were brilliantly written, totally loveable and made me connect with them instantly.
I picked this up expecting a light hearted read and was swept along on a brilliant journey with Karen, Elliot and Sophie that left me feeling emotional for all that they had experienced and what was yet to come.
A superb book that I loved reading cover to cover, a brilliant balance of emotion and humour and I am so pleased to be able to share my review and recommend you grab yourself a copy.

Karen could be excused for crying on her birthday, especially as it’s the first one since her husband got on a plane to the States and never came back. About the Author
Hannah Pearl was born in East London. She is married with two children and now lives in Cambridge.
She has previously worked as a Criminology researcher, as a Development Worker with various charities and even pulled a few pints in her time.
In 2015 she was struck down by Labrynthitis, which left her feeling dizzy and virtually housebound. She has since been diagnosed with ME. Reading has allowed Hannah to escape from the reality of feeling ill. She read upwards of three hundred books during the first year of her illness. When her burgeoning eReader addiction grew to be too expensive, she decided to have a go at writing. In 2017 she won Simon and Schuster’s Books and the City #heatseeker short story competition, in partnership with Heat magazine, for her short story The Last Good Day.
Hannah is a member of the Romantic Novelists Association.
