Day 11 – It Started with Christmas by Jenny Hale

A lovely read that will definitely help you feel festive and in the mood for Christmas. This year I am loving the brilliant selection of festive reads that are being released and It Started with Christmas is my first book by the lovely Jenny Hale and is a lovely addition to the fantastic line up being released this year.

This brilliant festive read is highlighting the importance of family and is a lovely family based festive read. Holly is a force of a nature who is totally invested in providing a wonderful Christmas for her dear Nana to help lift her spirits after the loss of her Papa.

Set in the beautiful snowy outskirts of Nashville in Holly’s family cabin, from the first few pages where Holly was strapping their Christmas tree to the roof of her car to move it to the cabin I knew I was going to love her character in this story.

A story that will make you laugh and cry, full of community love, wonderful characters and lots of lovely family Christmas traditions.

About the Author

When I graduated college, one of my friends said, “Look out for this one; she’s going to be an author one day.” Despite being an avid reader and a natural storyteller, it wasn’t until that very moment that the idea of writing novels occurred to me.

Sometimes our friends can see the things that we can’t.

While I didn’t start straight away, that comment sowed a seed and several years, two children, and hundreds of thousands of words later, I completed a novel that I felt was worthy of publication. The result was Coming Home for Christmas, a heart-warming story about the magic of love at Christmas, and 2017 TV movie on The Hallmark Channel.

The rest is history.

When I’m not writing, I’m a mother of two boys and a wife to a very supportive husband.
